MARK H. MELZER
Mark Melzer has practiced architecture and interior design for thirty-five years, with projects completed throughout the U.S., Europe, and Southeast Asia. His portfolio includes resort and hospitality projects, golf and recreation developments, and residential work including custom estates and high density housing.
Mr. Melzer has participated as principal-in-charge and project architect for many notable and award winning projects, including Irvine City Hall, Coto de Caza Golf Clubhouse and Racquet Club, Maplewoods Condominiums in Singapore, and Waikele Golf Clubhouse on Oahu, Hawaii. Mr. Melzer has also practiced interior design in London.
He has served as Chairman of the AIA Orange County Environmental Committee and represented the National AIA in establishing a residential ANSI area standard with the National Association of Home Builders. With a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan, Mr. Melzer is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and holds a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards certificate.
STEVEN L. DECKERT
Steven Deckert has practiced architecture for thirty-six years and has been responsible for award-winning master planning and design.
Mr. Deckert is a licensed architect, land planner, and urban designer with expertise in the planning and design of large scale mixed-use developments, high rise office towers, urban commercial / retail centers, high density residential developments, resort hotels, and both resort and new town planning throughout the United States and around the world. His experience has ranged worldwide to such locations as Hawaii, Turkey, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saipan, New Zealand, the Caribbean, and the British Isles.
Mr. Deckert’s work has been recognized with academic and professional honors including the American Institute of Architects Merit award, the Urban Land Institute’s Award for Commercial Redevelopment, and the Building Industry Association Gold Nugget Award.
He received his education at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is licensed in the State of California, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
TIMOTHY W. RUDER
Tim Ruder has practiced architecture for thirty-three years and has been responsible for the design and planning of numerous commercial, residential, historic rehabilitation, and recreational projects. Designing numerous resort and residential projects throughout the US and worldwide, he has brought his resort and hospitality expertise to countries such as Costa Rica, Japan, Thailand, China, Singapore, and Malaysia. Mr. Ruder is also responsible for MDR’s computer and CADD systems and is well respected for his creative and technological abilities.
His work has been recognized with professional honors including the American Institute of Architects’ Merit Award and The Building Industry Association’s Gold Nugget Award.
Mr. Ruder is a Registered Architect in the State of California, and a member the National Society for Historic Preservation.
